These children, hailing from Variety Children & Family Services, have faced numerous challenges in their young lives, including the loss of their parents and the absence of a stable family environment. Despite these hardships, they have shown remarkable resilience and determination, achieving results that have made their caregivers, teachers, and the community proud.
The national examination, a significant milestone in the education system of Sierra Leone, is known for its rigorous standards. For these orphaned children, passing this examination is not just an academic achievement; it is a testament to their perseverance and the support provided by the orphanage staff and volunteers.
“These children have shown incredible strength and determination. They deserve the opportunity to continue their education and fulfill their potential. We are appealing to the community and all stakeholders to come forward and support these children in their time of need.”
However, the journey does not end here. High school education is crucial for these children to build a brighter future, offering them the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to become self-reliant and successful in life. Unfortunately, the resources available at the orphanage are limited, and without external support, these bright young minds may find it challenging to continue their education.
The cost of high school education in Sierra Leone includes tuition fees, uniforms, books, and other essential materials. For many orphaned children, these expenses are beyond their reach, making it imperative for the community and well-wishers to step in.
