Variety Children & Family Services is a child protection and Human services Agency with its primary focus on:
- The Children’s Home; which is an Emergency Shelter for children in crisis called an Interim care Center (I C C) or traditionally called the Orphanage.
- Certified foster family agency with a focus on placing children in certified foster homes .
- Educational Services .
- Adoption Services.
The children’s home serve as a protective Shelter for children in crisis, abandoned, abused and neglect, emotional and sexually abused and victims of child trafficking. The children are referred to Variety Children by the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, The Freetown City Council , the family support unit of the Sierra Lone police ( FSU), other child protection agencies and community leaders.
