BODIES OF WATER

_____  I /We  do not have a swimming pool, hot tub, pond, or other similar body of water on my/our property. I/We  are not active in boating , fishing or other water sports where there is no life guard present.

_____ I/We do have a swimming pool, hot tub, pond or similar body of water on my/our property. I/We are active in boating, fishing or other water sports where there is no life guard present.

All swimming pools ,hot tubs, pond or other similar bodies of water must be made inaccessible by  a five foot fence that does not obscure the view or a cover that can withstand the weight of an adult. All covers or gates must be lockable.

Foster parents who have swimming pool, hot tub or similar bodies of water on their property or who are active in boating, fishing or other water sports where there is no life guard must also be certified at their own expense  in basic water rescue certification through the red cross or another agency which does the same certification.

If I/We decide after being certified as foster parent to have a swimming pool, hot tub, pond or another body of water added to my/our property or become active in boating, fishing or water sports where there is no life guard, it is my/our responsibility to notify Variety Children & Family Services immediately. I must also request for an inspection to make sure all government regulations and the regulations of variety Children are  followed.
