We established a school to train them in cosmetology, catering and bead making to make them self-reliant. At the end of the course, we give them start-up kits to start their own businesses. As of March 2013, we successfully graduated 200 young women from our program and are now self-employed.

While we continue to train these young women, Variety Group, aka Variety Children & Family Services, started the rehabilitation of the 49,000 children from ages 6 to 18 years who are permanently living on the streets of Sierra Leone. The program began in August 2015. Girls as young as nine live on Sierra Leone’s streets. It is our collective responsibility to help shape the lives of these children, have them educated and give them a future.
